3-D Rose Jewelry Trend

I can't say that I'm all that surprised. In fact, I got the inside scoop on this thanks to Accessories magazine "Directions" issue for spring/summer 2007:
"The oversized scale of a cabbage
rose is the floral motif that dominates all flowers for spring '07. As a print, its luscious full bloom takes over the surface of a scarf, handbag and apparel in painterly strokes, 3-D design or stenciled prints. As a motif, it decorates hairgoods, functions as a pin, is incorporated into strands of beads or transforms into a 3-D embellismment as a pin or on a handbag. "Pictured is a dress design incorporating an oversize flower pin or whatever from Dolce and Gabbana.
Here is more evidence of this 3-D flower fashion and jewelry phenomena.
