Fans of Project Runway have been making wise-cracks all season about fashion designer, Angela's funky flower things, aka fleurchons, she likes to sew all over everything. And, believe it or not, according to Blogging Project Runway, there are numerous fleurchon sites all over the place.

I can't say that I'm all that surprised. In fact, I got the inside scoop on this thanks to Accessories magazine "Directions" issue for spring/summer 2007:

"The oversized scale of a cabbage rose is the floral motif that dominates all flowers for spring '07. As a print, its luscious full bloom takes over the surface of a scarf, handbag and apparel in painterly strokes, 3-D design or stenciled prints. As a motif, it decorates hairgoods, functions as a pin, is incorporated into strands of beads or transforms into a 3-D embellismment as a pin or on a handbag. "
