Handcrafted Designer Jewelry

Emily Armenta is a historian, a romantic, and a skilled jeweler. Her biggest inspiration comes from the Spanish poet, Lorca, and early Spanish and Moorish architecture. In her handcrafted metal work, Armenta uses the old-world Etruscan method of granulation, which is distinctive to her designs. Today, Emily's jewelry is sold nationwide, and decorates the bodies of Marisa Tomei, Glenn Close, and Lisa Kudrow.

Emily Armenta has had an interest in sketching, designing, and working with stones since she was young, but it wasn't until an entrepreneurship class, while working on her MBA, that she discovered she could turn this love of jewelry into a full time career. Creating a fictitious jewelry company, Emily cranked out a full jewelry collection and asked a local boutique in Dallas to sell the line. A designer was born.

In the simplest terms, the spiritual realm of the Duende is a creative process in which one must survive a struggle or darkness to achieve greatness. Armenta jewelry pays homage to Duende, combining symbolism, fresh feminine styles and old world techniques.
