According to a press release:
" Art, Math, and Science are part of our daily lives--from the mundane to the sublime--from cough drops and airplanes to the human genome project and Leonardo da Vinci. In celebration, GalaxyGoo presents an art show and benefit auction featuring artistic
expressions of Math and Science.Akiko Isono has donated two versions of her bead "cycle of lives under the leaves" to the show and auction, in which she creates a small ecosystem in a drop of clear glass. Sharon Peters has donated one of her wonderfully goofy beads "germ series: E. coli". All three beads are lampworked.
GalaxyGoo is a non-profit dedicated to increasing science literacy among students and the general public. We develop educational software, which is available for free on our website."
