Sea glass or beach glass jewelry
from By The Sea Jewelry transforms Genuine Sea Glass (natural sea glass) into stunning sea glass jewelry for the true beach lover. Owners Linda and Jim Jereb use some of the rarest sea glass and beach glass collected from around the world, and they offer the largest selection of Sea Glass Jewelry on the web. Sea Drop Genuine Sea Glass On Sterling Collar
A gorgeous piece of pale sea green sea glass on a sterling collar necklace. This is perfectly round sea glass from the North Sea of England, and was slag or end of day glass that was thrown from a cliff into the sea. It was never made into a bottle or glass item and this is why it is so perfectly round. Great quality sea glass highly frosted and pitted.
$172
The designer, Linda Jereb, is self-taught in jewelry making, and has developed a unique wire wrapping style. Her Bezel Wire Setting is a trademarked setting that leaves both the front and back of the sea glass open so the wearer can reach up and feel the glass. Every piece is a mini-sculpture in itself, using 14k Gold-filled and Sterling Silver wire to enclose these recycled gems and turn them into jewelry. Linda has been apprenticing with a master silversmith and goldsmith, and will soon offer limited editions in silver settings.
Cross Section Sea Glass Ring In Sterling Filigree
A substantial ring with a very rare and picturesque piece of English Sea Glass, with a cross section of colors. This piece is from England and has neat color variation from the molten glass of different shades being mixed together when the glass was tossed into the sea.
$220
By The Sea Jewelry offers award-winning sea glass jewelry in one-of-a-kind pieces in necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and pendants. Sea glass begins its journey as broken glass thrown carelessly into the ocean, where it is tumbled by water and sand into these colorful seashore gems.
Jewel-tone Natural Sea Glass Bracelet
A lovely combination of 17 pieces of Certified Genuine Sea Glass in great vivid jewel colors. Rare to common colors include Aqua, Amber, Vivid Green, Olive Green, and Sea Green.
$160
Linda was one of the founding board members of the NASGA, a group formed by professional sea glass collectors, authors, artisans, and retailers. The NASGA is an organization with a primary goal: to inform collectors and retailers about the inherent properties of genuine sea glass versus the artificial, tumbled craft glass, which is commonly being sold and often misrepresented as real sea glass.
After 20 years in their home at Nag's Head on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, By The Sea Jewelry has moved to their new home in Sebastian Florida, home of Pelican Island, situated on the Indian River and Sebastian Inlet.
Linda Jereb
I was schooled in commercial art and graphics, with a background in sales and marketing. I discovered sea glass when I moved to the Outer Banks of North Carolina in 1988, and I have been collecting these lovely frosted gems ever since. I have amassed a collection of sea glass from around the world, but I still get a special thrill when I hold a unique and rare piece in my hand.
I have been designing and selling Sea Glass Jewelry from my studio on the Outer Banks since 1988. My designs are based on my love of sea glass. I always try to leave a bit of glass open so the wearer can reach up and feel the wonderful texture of the frost that is the telltale sign of top quality Genuine Sea Glass.
Jim Jereb
With the great success of By The Sea Jewelry, I have recently come fulltime into the business with my wife Linda. When not drilling glass or polishing Linda's finished creations, I also run Flatfeat Charters, specializing in personal chartered fishing on the Indian River, as captain of my own flats fishing boat.
