I've been hearing about this more than I've been seeing it - jewelry for your cell phone. Usually they are some sort of charm or beaded dangle. I guess everything's got to have a little bling these days.

One company that seems to be catering to this new trend is Fly Fashions. According to a recent press release: "Fly Fashions designs and produces a distinctive line of high fashion jewelry and accessories for mobile devices. We specialize in working with ours customers to create exclusive, one-of-a-kind fashion designs to accessorize their product lines. Our customers, such as wireless carriers, cell phone manufacturers and accessory distributors leverage our designs for use in retail distribution, promotions and specialty marketing programs. Fly Fashions products are comprised of jewelry grade components, including sterling silver, crystal and semi-precious materials that clearly set our customers and yours apart from the rest of the crowd."

While I like this jewelry fashion trend, I think Fly Fashions needs to do a little work on its website. It's obvious they are trying to market to the younger crowd - those who like to show off their undies any way (after stressing so many years about panty-lines, I just don't get this!) - but I think even a few old ladies like myself might like to dress up their cell phones too. I was also disappointed that more detailed information isn't provided about each piece they sell nor are there larger images of their cell phone jewelry.

Still, this is a fashion trend to keep an eye on, and Fly Fashions seems to be in the thick of it.
