Cher Auctions Bling

Along with jewelry items, such as a Dolce & Gabbana necklace which is starting at $600, Cher will be selling art work and furniture. Pretty much it sounds like you'll find everything but the kitchen sink as she cleans out her Malibu home.
From Bloomberg.com:
Cher, 60, will sell more than $1 million of her see-through dresses, jewelry and neo-gothic objects on Oct. 3-4. Auction houses Sotheby's and Julien's showed highlights for the first time yesterday in London.
A pink, sequined Bob Mackie dress with cut-outs for cleavage and navel, worn on ``The Sonny & Cher Show'' in 1972, has a $7,000 top value, as does an altarpiece with a frame by Augustus
Pugin. A Dolce & Gabbana cross necklace has a $600 high estimate. The sale may draw 600 people to the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, said Darren Julien of Julien's Auctions, who enlisted Sotheby's help. The singer and actress is clearing out her Malibu home, which she'll redo in Tibetan and Moroccan styles, and is selling items kept in storage since the 1960s and 1970s, he said. Part of the proceeds will go to charity.
``The $1 million value is conservative,'' Julien said. ``It doesn't include the Cher factor.'' Cher, who has had ups and downs since the 1960s as a singer and television and film star, is a bigger draw for memorabilia collectors, including Wall Street bankers, than Diana Ross or Tina Turner, he said.
