Contemporary Jewelry Vincenzo Taormina

Funny how I so often read about architects becoming jewelry designers or at the very least jewelry designers finding inspiration through architecture.
Taormina has a wonderful, clean sophistication about his jewelry that lends itself to some pieces wearable for both sexes. This is how he describes his inspiration:
For the past 10 years, my traveling pleasure destination, have been Italy, my "Home" country. I particular loved to go home, especially to the southern islands, preferably in the summer. In doing so I have had the opportunity to see my surroundings as never before, everyone enjoys life, the beaches, the sun, the night life. I have been inspired by all of this glamour, the sexy details and curves of a woman's figure, the beauty of nature, with a strong identifying European trend. Using accurate techniques and elaborate hinges I gave to my creations a driving spirit and appeal. My work is a mirror of my soul, a reflection of who I am, and where I have been.
My Jewelry Collection isn't really for the masses, it's for the person who wants to make a statement, the individual who wants to be different and special. When my client looks in the mirror I want them to say: "I look really wonderful today, this piece empowers me, this piece gives me the attitude I want to feel".
Creating jewelry is my passion, metalwork consumes me and it's wonderful to be consumed by it.
