In 2004, Scott Mikolay founded Desires by Mikolay in Chappaqua, New York. Success came quickly as word spread of his innovative custom designs. While hosting a broad range of designer lines in his flagship store, he decided to explore expanding his own designs as the demand grew. This ring features a cushion shape Green Amethyst center (9.29ctw) with diamonds (.45ctw). The handmade mounting is in 18k white gold with a satin finish. Instead of the diamonds being set traditionally around the center stone, they are set on the sides and down the shank.
