Scale Shift, sculpture and jewelry by Donna Veverka. Veverka's work reflects her fascination with travel and the international language of domed ceilings and circular stairways, the majesty and visual representations of church and a reverence for form itself, into fine art. Structures and ornamental features most often encountered as massive and imposing are made to the scale of the human body - as Veverka's work is meant to be worn as adornment. Working in sterling silver and gold, with textile elements, Veverka brings the geometry
of Classical architecture to the gallery space, and to your arm, finger or throat. Her work is really unbelievable! I visited the artist's web site and picked up a few pieces to amaze you. Pictured above is the "Amphitheater" ring fabricated and cast from sterling and 18kt gold.
Below is entitled "Balcony" and made of sterling.

Finally a brooch called "Cloister" made of sterling and 18kt gold.
