Fenton Jewelry at Fashion Week

Though I am bracing myself to view runway shows on the Internet from Fashion Week where models will be bare necked and have a general lack of jewelry or accessories other than some purse that could easily opt as a weekend bag, I did read some good news from Elle that suggests maybe, just maybe, we'll see more jewelry going on this season:
DIAMONDS IN THE RUFFIAN
With more than 40 shows on the schedule for today alone, New York Fashion week has arrived, and it's all about the clothes?or is it? This season, more designers than ever are turning to specialty milliners, cobblers, and jewelry designers to create original collaborative accessories that will debut on their runways. Nicholas Kirkwood will design shoes for 3.1 Phillip Lim, Doo.Ri, and at least 10 others, Eugenia Kim is doing hats for Michael Kors, and Lulu Frost will create jewelry for Alexander Wang. In other jewelry news, designer Dana Lorenz (the name behind Fenton) is creating a full line of bangles and baubles for Ruffian's spring collection, and the pieces will reflect the same mix of "punk meets lady" that Ruffian designer Brian Wolk cited as his inspiration. "We looked at different references ranging from Debbie Harry
and '80s culture to Madame de Pompadour," he said. Lorenz took that juxtaposition and ran with it: "The way we clustered crystals with metals spikes and studs is how we're approaching that clash of textures," she said. "It's young and urban but also really feminine at the same time." The "Fenton for Ruffian" jewelry collection will continue in subsequent seasons, with Lorenz consulting with designers Wolk and Claude Morais. "We already have ideas for next season, believe it or not," Wolk said. "We're excited to be working with Fenton?Dana is a Ruffian in her own right!"Obviously, these aren't the pieces talked about about, but here's a little mini web show for you from the Fenton jewelry web site.
