I wrote recently about the rise of gold and silver on my blog. Jewelers are growing concerned in spite of what economists project-when even sterling silver costs twice what it did a year ago, jewelers have to become cautious. If the consumer doesn't understand why the price of jewelry has increased, the tendency is to cut back on spending. However, consumers complain about gas, but I see a lot of Hummers on the road. The economists could be entirely correct, and people will still buy gold and silver in spite of the market increase.
