are teaming up to show off some bling and ring in some cha-ching at St. Regis this Thursday. Nope, Ms. Paltrow is not hard up for some cash. Rather, she's hoping to cash in on her fame and name as a way to help out a worthy cause, the American Cancer Society's Hope Lodge New York.Here's more from a press release I received:
On Thursday, February 15th, Gwyneth Paltrow will be on hand as Damiani, world renowned master jewelry house, hosts an event at the St. Regis to help bring hope to cancer patients seeking care in New York. The "Create Hope in Your Heart," fundraiser will benefit the American Cancer Society's Hope Lodge New York - a home away from home for cancer patients seeking treatment in New York City, offering free lodging, support and services. All proceeds from the event, which will combine high end jewels and high society, will be donated to the American Cancer Society's Hope Lodge NYC, which is slated to open in the fall of 2007.
