Yes, Amazon.com pretty much knows my number. I'm always getting these friendly little emails from them: "We have another book about Victorian literature we know you'd love, Tammy." Damn them!

Books, DVDs, and toys are the main things I buy from Amazon.com, but so far, not jewelry. However, I must be in the minority because according to many reports over the web, such as this one from Bloggingstocks.com, jewelry and watch sales at Amazon.com continue to grow like crazy:

The world's largest online-only retailer reported that watch and jewelry sales for the third quarter of 2006 jumped over 100% from the prior-year period, an incredible increase if you ask me. Watch sales increased 122% in the third quarter from the prior year and gemstones and engagement rings posted a growth of 108% for the third quarter over the same period last year.

I took a little quick trip over there to see what I could find. Pictured top is a pair of sterling and topaz earrings I found on the front page of the jewelry listings.


The search term "gold earrings" brought up lots of hoop earrings and these gold an onyx earrings from Sardelli.
