We've been dissed people! And big time! I'm talking about the fact that the 7th Annual Weblog Awards has no category - zero - zip - nada - for any fashion or jewerly bloggers.

Considering the huge number of us in the blogosphere, this is w-r-o-n-g!

The Manolo is one of many bloggers is who asking us to protest this injustice:

One need only look at the dozens of the recent articles in the mainstream press about the influence of the fashion blogosphere to see that the fashion blogging has become the phenomenon that cannot be ignored. But ignore it the Bloggies have done, undoubtedly because the organizers of these awards are the post-adolescent techno-geeks more interested in talking about the electronic doohickeys and the Web 2.0 than the subjects that are of real interest to many millions of the blog readers.

To top it off, when I went to the supposed awards website and cast my ballots for some of the topics they did have their, it would not validate my vote. I emailed them. Did I get a reply? Of course not.

So, is this award anything even worth considering? Or, is it run by a group of geeky teenagers who are still living at mom and dad's? I can't help but wonder.
