At the age of 17, Steven Lagos started his jewelry career sweeping out the storeroom of a Philadelphia jeweler after school. After learning the business from an elderly Russian jeweler, Lagos began his own repair business at the age of 19, servicing important pieces from international salons. Since 1977 when Steven Lagos founded Lagos Design, his vision was to create museum quality jewelry that was both beautiful and distinctive, fun and easy to wear. In 1984, Steven Lagos and Ann King met by chance at a trade show in New York City. The two individual talents married and have worked together to create their world class design house.
