October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and while we are usually seeing a lot of pink ribbons right now, there are a lot of other wearable symbols for cancer survivors these days or for those who want to remember a loved one.

lance armstrong's yellow elastic bracelets sort of started the cause-bracelet craze, and now jewelry designer Kendra Scott, has taken the idea of the survivor bracelet to the fine jewelry level with her gold and diamond Livelong designs.

From Kendra Scott Design Creates 10th Anniversary Limited Edition LIVESTRONG Band:

The limited-edition band, crafter in either 18K white or yellow gold, is engraved with the LIVESTRONG brand featuring a yellow diamond set in the "O" and highlighted with subtle beveled edge detailing. The men's band is a cuff designed to slip easily on the wrist, while the women's band is an oval-shaped bangle with a clasp. Both versions are inscribed inside with the LAF's slogan, "Unity is Strength." As there will be only 10,296 total produced, each cuff and bangle will also be numbered and comes with a custom designed black obsidian display base with glass cover nestled in yellow satin inside a beautiful gift box wrapped with ribbon.

"I wanted to use my skills and the resources of my company to help people whose lives have been touched by cancer," said Scott. "And I can think of no better way to keep the memory of my stepfather alive." Scott added, "I have great admiration for Lance Armstrong and the Lance Armstrong Foundation for all the support they provide to cancer survivors and their efforts in the fight against cancer."
