Marcia Moran was born, raised, and educated in Brazil. Inspired by her father, she became a dentist in the early 90s, and started her own dental practice in Sao Paulo in 1994, but she always wanted to work with fashion and jewelry. In 2003, she moved to Los Angeles and decided to make her dream come true. She is now the owner and founder of Marcia Moran Jewelry Designs.

Moran's pieces are clever and kitschy, with nautical touches, lots of gold, and luscious gemstones. I can't tell if she makes her own jewelry now, or if she is still importing pieces from Brazil - more than likely a combination of the two. I love the soft sheen of the brushed gold and the simplicity of her designs. These pieces won't be out of style any time soon, and the 18k gold plating makes her jewelry affordable.
