Traci Morinaga, owner of Midori Jewelry, also fell in love with gemstones and this changed the direction of her life. Originally intending on a career in law with all the stress that goes with it, she took a bold step and moved away from the corporate world and into the world of jewelry designing:
Midori is a Japanese melon-flavored liquor recognized for its trademark green color and well-known for its sugary taste and little kick in the finish. That's how I look at my beaded treasures: the sweet-colored gemstones sparkle and beckon, and once worn, will satisfy any jewelry lover's palette. My style is classic with a contemporary flair that can last through the seasons. And just like its eponym, Midori Jewelry is fun, fresh, and always feminine.
The materials I utilize in my creations encompass a wide spectrum ranging from glistening mother of pearl to spiny oyster shells, Greek leather to buttery suede, Balinese to Turkish sterling silver, findings in gold vermeil to oxidized silver, and of course, lots of pearls. A dazzling array of semi-precious and precious gemstones are thrown into the mix including andalusite,Mexican-fire opal, Peruvian opal, rainbow sapphire, Sleeping Beauty turquoise, Argentinian rhodocrosite, white moonstone, Brazilian amethyst, helidor, indicolite (blue tourmaline), ruby, japsers, mystic zircon, and countless others. My favorites include black spinel, labradorite, London blue topaz, citrine, apatite, chalcedony, kyanite, larimar, and all shades of garnet.
This website is dedicated to the spunky and fabulous woman-her free spirit keen on having beautiful adventures. Together, we will meander down the road less traveled.
Pictured above/left is "Aquadisiac Set" - made with faceted chalcedony, freshwater pearls, faceted labradorite, and Bali sterling silver findings,
This next piece, a bracelet, she calls "Following Sea" - and it includes freshwater pearls, Sandalwood, Bali sterling silver spacers and toggle clasp, and the focal bead is a chunky faceted Peruvian opal.

Finally, here are some earrings, "Sahara" - They include faceted smoky quartz, freshwater pearls, and gold-filled ear wires.
