More Oscar Jewelry

National Jeweler has more on the up coming Academy Awards. In particular, I'm dying to see this amethyst necklace they describe:

"Showcasing the color trend many think will abound at this year's Oscars was a 25-carat amethyst pendant by in a web-like Edwardian setting that punctuated an opera-length diamond necklace. Inspired by Keira Knightley, the youngest best actress nominee this year, the look epitomized her "sexy, edgy" style, according to Kwiat."

Keira is a gorgeous links girl, and I wonder if she will wear it or if she just inspired it? Sounds a little unclear here.

I'm very happy to read that we may see more colored stones. It's about time we saw a little more color on the red carpet. Diamonds aren't the only stones you can use in eye-popping jewelry designs! Hello!
