Could the lack of pink gold jewelry designs be attributed to the price increase of precious metals, especially gold? I know a number of jewelers are concerned about the effect of the price increase on their business-perhaps pink gold is seen as too risky at the moment to waste the money on producing jewelry. If gold were back down to it's sub$400 price range, we might see more of pink gold.

Could the increase in gold and other precious metals be the deterrent to making pink gold jewelry? It might be seen as too risky of a design venture for most jewelry designers. I think that maybe if gold were back down to it's sub-$400 prices, there might be more interest in creating pink gold jewelry.
