I never had one of these - a " promise ring" - went straight to the engagement ring which a week later turned into my wedding ring - but I remember the promise ring from back in high school. Back then, they were usually a tiny little band of gold with an even tinier diamond chip that you need a magnifying glass to see. Today, promise rings seem to have take on a whole new look.

The company, Custom Promise Rings, has taken this sentimental token a step further.
