Sony Picks Beaded Camera Straps
They are calling them "cameracatch," a way to incorporate your love of bling with your need for high tech gadgets like the latest Sony digital camera.

I call, it well, okay, but I'm not overly impressed with the style of these two, yes, count 'em, just two styles available.

The concept has promise, but it needs some work. Who made these? I'm not saying they aren't okay, but you get a choice of clear crystals or blue marble beads. That's it.

A big name jewelry designer is not necessarily needed to step in here, though that probably wouldn't hurt sales. However, if you are really trying to create a niche jewelry accessory then someone needs to think through this a little more, come up with a few more stylish designs, and provide more choices.

The good news is that there's a special offer right now at SonyStyle.com allowing you to get a free camera bracelet with purchase. If you planned to buy a camera any way, then this is a nice little extra bling for your bucks.

Read more at PopPhoto.com who loved these, but I'm guessing they aren't real big jewelry fans.
