Virtual International Jewelry Show

Remember my post about an up coming virtual trunk show? Now I've got news for you about a virtual jewelry show. This one is organized by Jewelry A Head. The actual exhibit
isn't going to be completed and opened for business until May 1, 2006, but they have a demo on their web site right now that allows you to move from booth to booth.I spent some time running through the demo, and for the most part I was impressed, and I think this is an excellent way to create international exhibits. I did notice, however, that some times some of the links went wacky - kicking me out of the site or not working - and it seemed slow, though this is graphic intensive so that's probably the reason. Even still, I have broad band web accesses, so I thought it wouldn't be so slow to load. They also need a few extra pretend people. I kept seeing the same ones over and over again in the different jewelry vendors' booths.
If you'd like to see what the future of jewelry may be, then I recommend taking the tour. Maybe go get a cup of coffee first though, especially if you are on dial up.
