After studying fashion design and working in the apparel industry in Sapporo Japan, Yasuko azuma moved to New York City in 1994. Now handcrafting every piece in New York, Yasuko Azuma creates designs that bring back the peace and tranquility of her native land. Her careful workmanship and romantic detailing is clearly visible in each piece, making it classic and timeless.

Yasuko Azuma's imaginative flair was first realized at age six when she began conceptualizing ideas for her own clothes. "My mother was a fashion designer. I started making sketches of the dresses I wanted her to sew for me." What began as a childhood fancy led her to follow in her mother's footsteps, study fashion design. After college graduation, she worked for a large clothing company in Japan. "I grew restless following a corporate vision. I had all of this energy and wanted to explore my own outlets of expression."
